Golden clam processing and sorting equipment R&D
Core Technology: Hydraulic Sorting
- Uses density differences between objects, controlling flow velocity to set drift and settling positions
- Water-flow sorter with feed-in and discharge conveyors separates clams from debris automatically
- Anti-corrosion enclosure prevents leakage and protects internal mechanical parts
Validation and Extension
- Unit tests (16 days) and on-site final tests (7 days), 31 items each, 100% pass rate
- After automating sorting, final visual inspection staff dropped from 7 to 4
- Extendable to hard clams and other shellfish, and to any density-based sorting application
